Yemen Redux.

When talking a few months back in reference to the situation in Yemen, I figured there were only a couple of possible options for Saudi Arabia: either Saudi tolerance of/collaboration with the Shia militia, or an outright Saudi invasion of Yemen. The latter seems poised to take place. The Saudis have even began airstrikes targeting the Shia militia as we speak. The CIA has also essentially pulled all of its personnel out of Yemen. Enough said there. Regional instability lends to Saudi expansion, and it appears that Saudi Arabia will be entering Yemen to settle the situation themselves. My entreaties to the Saudis were based upon our faulty first steps in Yemen, which in turn led to faulty policy formation there. I was not about to state aims that ran counter to what the set policy had appeared to be. It proved intolerable to the Saudis, and there was a better solution available. That's how the question of al-Qaeda and ISIS will be answered here. Saudi boots and overwhelming force. We need to stop lollygagging, take a side, and let the Saudis know that we have their backs.
